The MISSION of Hills Baptist Church is to be a four-county cornerstone of faith,
dedicated to our Lord; to serve, care, and witness to all of those around us.
Here are some of the events held each year at Hills Baptist Church:
Family Game Night: Need a relief for the cabin fever of winter? Join your HBC friends
for an evening of fun.
Easter Events: We participate with the Marion-Adams Ministerial Society in weekly
services during the Lenten season culminating in a Good Friday Service. On Easter
Sunday, we come together for our Sunrise Service followed by Breakfast.
Mother’s Day/Father’s Day: On these special days we come together for a special
breakfast. On Mother’s Day, the men prepare the meal, on Father’s Day the women
take their turn.
Veteran’s Appreciation Dinner: On or near Armed Forces Day, our Board of Deacons
sponsors a Dinner to recognize the veterans of our church and the general Pickard
Ronald McDonald House Dinner: Every summer, we reserve an evening to prepare the
supper meal for the families at the Ronald McDonald House at Riley Hospital.
Homecoming: Every October, we take a day to celebrate the anniversary of the founding
of Hills Baptist Church on October 24, 1839.
Fuel Supper: In early November we hold our Fuel Supper fund raiser. We prepare a
meal and sell tickets to the community . It is a great opportunity to meet folks
from the area that we do not have the opportunity to see on a regular basis.
Candles and Carols Celebration: Part of the Christmas tradition at Hills is our
Candles and Carols Celebration. We gather for an evening of music, drama, and sharing
the joy of the birth of Jesus our Savior.
New Year’s Eve Celebration: Finish the year off by gathering with HBC to celebrate
God’s blessings through another year.
