In Ruth 2, we see the heroics of people living in the spirit of the law. They not only receive God’s loving-kindness themselves, they extend it to those around them.  Because they follow his law and find refuge under his wing, they are able to be bold and brave and generous. God is the real hero of this story as He works subtly and powerfully on the behalf of his people. But in the Book of Ruth we see that Godalso chooses to advance his purposes and bring restoration to his world through the goodness of his people.
